An additional two individuals are now in custody in connection with a robbery at Heathrow Airport in which 21 people were injured by what is thought to be pepper spray, according to police.
A man, 24, was arrested in the Lambeth area for suspected theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, the force said.
These detentions come after an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the incident, two women had stolen from them their luggage upon exiting a parking garage elevator.
A three-year-old girl was among the those hurt in the event. Five people went to hospital for medical care and have since been released.
Police detained a man in his thirties for suspected robbery and assault close to the location. He has since been released under investigation while inquiries continue.
Authorities were called at about 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding several people injured by a noxious substance believed to be pepper spray.
The assault - which authorities stated was isolated and not considered an act of terror - caused train delays and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 car park briefly.
